Getting Ready for a Fresh Start

Sometimes a new year can mean a new fresh start. This could be a complete career change, it could be to take up a new hobby or to take a step back from the path you have been following for several years.

Sometimes this fresh start can feel exciting, nerve-wracking, or scary or a mixture of all of them. This can sometimes mean you may not even make that fresh start as you are not sure which one it is but also feel like it isn’t possible in making it happen.

You know deep down that you want to make a fresh start, but not sure which steps are needed to make it happen. Almost like you can’t see the wood for the trees, you don’t even make the first step.

It can sometimes feel like you have lost your confidence in making it happen or some people have put you off the idea of making that fresh new start.

I have felt like this several times but so have my clients. You are not alone in thinking this way.

It isn’t to say that it won’t be scary at times or nerve-wracking but what is important is that you give it a go. There is always a reason behind that feeling of a fresh start even if the change is nothing that you expected at the beginning. It could even mean the ending isn’t what you planned but you know making a start was worth it

What does a fresh start look like and what do you do?

What is important is you review it

Talk about it with someone who can ask you the right questions

Work with someone who can provide you with the confidence that you need to make that step, so you are not on your own

Identify what the options are and make a list that works for you

Note - It might even be that you don’t even make a start but have the confidence that you have explored everything and worked through what you want.

Never give up on making a new fresh start that works for you.
