Looking Back to Look Forward
Being a coach doesn’t always mean you provide yourself with the right questions when you need them.
So, it is always important to continue working with another coach/mentor to allow space for you and your business. They are there to support you and only you and that is important for me especially as my role is to provide space and be a thought-provoking partner to everyone else. I don’t always put myself first but over the years I have ensured this is at the forefront so I can be fully present for my clients and provide the space and energy they deserve.
So, when I was asked recently what I am pleased with this year and what aspects am I going to take forward this came as a shock. I couldn’t believe we are nearly at the end of the year, and it was time to take stock of what had happened as this year.
This year has been busy and busier than I planned and was expecting. However, I am forever grateful for this as I wouldn’t change a thing. I know looking back will help me review on areas that I would like to be a bit smoother but also where I can be more efficient.
As I continue through into my final stages of becoming a qualified counsellor, I have had to step back from a few areas to ensure I can focus fully on my coaching clients, my associate work and any training needs and working with counselling clients.
So
What aspects have you achieved this year that you are thankful for?
What areas do you want to continue into the new year?
What new learning are you going to take up?
What areas do you want to stop that isn’t serving you and your business/career?
How are you going to reward yourself for the great things you have achieved?
