Ducks in a row

Ducks in a row

I have always been described as fast working, full of focus and ideas and wanting to get to the highest place, whether that is physically or feeling feel like you are on top of the world.
It is in my DNA that I want to get in that rocket and fly to the moon. I truly believe that everything is possible and with a little help along the way your world is your oyster.

But sometimes this can sound a little daunting and to me it can do too. But when you surround yourself with the the right support and work through everything that you can make sure that all of your ducks are in a row then why not fly to the moon.

For some this may sound simple enough but what if you don’t know what you want or you do but not sure how to get there?
What if you don’t have your ducks in a row or you don’t know why you feel unhappy or feel stuck, then this can be daunting and feel overwhelming. Right?

I recently felt like this when I was adapting to fit in my counselling course and needing it to fit around my current world. I wanted to get in the rocket now but was aware the process takes time and I needed to get my rucksack filled first. I am sometimes too excited for my own good but I knew something had to be worked through to ensure I was being present fully when doing my course.

I was trying to fit it around my coaching business and felt something wasn’t right and felt I needed to squeeze it in around my coaching. But instead I took a step back and spoke to my coach and worked through a more effect way of ensuring I am providing enough time to it without feeling like it was getting on top of me or and feeling overwhelmed.

Yes you might say that being a coach I could do this by myself and this isn’t the case - we all need someone to bounce off ideas, we all need that person who has got your back and help when you are feeling overwhelmed even if you know why.

  • I recognised my ducks weren’t in a row
  • Spoke to my coach
  • Firmed up a plan which works for me
